Description

This course will focus on Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] as an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. We will review the importance of screening for Lp(a) in specific patient populations, such as those with a family history of premature cardiovascular disease, recurrent heart attacks, and elevated cholesterol levels despite statin therapy. The course will cover the latest research and guidelines on Lp(a) management including the role of lipoprotein apheresis therapy, and review real patient profiles.
